Our Scout Hall

Formed in 1911,  Kilmallie Scout Group has a long and proud history.  Since 1977 the Group has operated from Kilmallie Scout Hall, as a tenant of the Church of Scotland. 

In May this year the local church decided to dispose of the hall, and we have been given notice to quit. 

Our Board of Trustees and Group Leadership Team are exploring funding options and are working with community groups and youth organisations to develop a proposal to secure the hall. In the long term, the intention is to re-develop it as a multi-user community facility. 

The church has agreed to give us first option to purchase the hall at market value, and additional time to raise the necessary funds. We are also considering our options and looking at alternative facilities should we be unable to purchase the hall.

We realise this will be a matter of concern for our members and their families, and will do our best to keep you updated.
